How To Accept or Reject Admission on JAMB CAPS

Some of the major problems, many aspirants do encounter on a daily basis is how they can accept or reject admission on JAMB CAPS, many have lost their admission because they failed to accept it on the JAMB CAPS, some mistakenly click on the reject button instead of the accept button.

This is why many aspirants normally ask How do I accept my admission on jamb caps? How do I know if JAMB gave me admission? Etc. Today, we will be going into details to solve this problem for all aspirants, just follow the instructions below.

How To ACCEPT Or REJECT Admission On JAMB CAPS

Please note that once you accept your admission on JAMB CAPS, you can no longer apply to any other school in that academic year. For example, let’s say UNN gave you admission in 2020/2021 academic session and you accepted it, you will no longer be allowed to apply to any other school in that 2020/2021 academic session. But if you reject the admission, you can actually apply to any other school within that academic session. Below is how to access your JAMB CAPS using PC and Mobile Phone.

How to ACCEPT or REJECT Admission on JAMB CAPS Using PC

  1. Visit the JAMB E-facility portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/.
  2. Fill in your Email and Password in the appropriate columns and then log in.
  3. Locate and click on ‘Check Admission Status‘.
  4. Select your examination year, supply your JAMB registration number in the appropriate column and then click on the ‘Access my CAPS‘ button.
  5. Select ‘Admission Status‘ on the left panel.
  6. Locate and click on the ‘Search’ button in front of your JAMB Registration Number to load your profile.
  7. Now, you can be able to Accept/Reject your admission offer under ‘Admission Profile’.

If you have been offered admission, the Accept Admission and Reject Admission buttons will be clickable, as highlighted in this picture.

If you are yet to be offered admission, the Accept Admission and Reject Admission buttons will not clickable and it will be greyed out as highlighted in Red below.

When you see the above, don’t panic, just keep checking the portal as instructed in the highlight in blue in the picture above.

How to ACCEPT or REJECT Admission on JAMB CAPS Using Mobile Device

You may not see the option to check your Admission Status on CAPS if you are using a mobile phone. The CAPS page shows only welcome on mobile, this is  because it requires you to use desktop mode to view the complete page. We recommend you make use of the chrome browser. All you need to do is go to the Chrome option and choose request desktop site for the complete page to display as explained below:

  1. Visit the JAMB E-facility portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/.
  2. Fill in your Email and Password in the appropriate columns and then log in.
  3. Locate and click on ‘Check Admission Status‘.
  4. Select your examination year, supply your JAMB registration number in the appropriate column and then click on the ‘Access my CAPS‘ button.

You will be welcomed with a white screen like the picture below;

How to REJECT or ACCEPT Admission on JAMB CAPS

Then select the three-dotted line at the top right corner of your browser ( i.e. ) and then tick on “Desktop site” as shown in the picture below.

After the above, select ‘Admission Status‘ on the left panel. Locate and click on the ‘Search’ button in front of your JAMB Registration Number to load your profile. After that, you can now Accept/Reject your admission offer under ‘Admission Profile’.

Note that Accepting or Rejecting of admission on JAMB CAPS is totally free of charge.
