Three Policemen Dismissed For Extorting N153,000 From Lagos University Student

The rate at which evil is increasing in this our lovely country is so alarming, especially police brutality and extortion on students.

Luck ran out on some policemen who extorted the sum of #153,000 from a Lagos State University student. The Ogun State Police Command has dismissed some of its officers, namely; Inspector Sunday John, Sergeant Jimoh Asimiya and Sergeant Solomon Adedapo after they were found guilty of extorting the sum of #153,000 from Sheriff Adedigba, a Lagos State University student.

This ugly incident happened when the said student was travelling from Abeokuta to Lagos. The Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun on hearing this ugly incident on social media requested that the officers should be apprehended immediately.

According to the police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the money was recovered from them and returned to the victim.

Mr. Sheriff Adedigba was there to give his account of the story thanked the commissioner for this kind response which, according to him ignited his hope in the Nigerian Police.
